The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program is a middle school educational platform that is recognized throughout the world for the specific life-long skills instilled in its learners. Students of an IBMYP curriculum learn the value of the following characteristics and traits and emulate them in their practice: inquiry, open-mindedness, humanity, knowledge, critical thinking, communication, principles, reflection, balance, and risk taking. Service and learning projects can be one of the vehicles by which IBMYP students hone these skills. Conniston Middle School develops themes for focus over a particular time frame as it relates to the service and learning projects that are implemented. Our current theme of India has been selected as our specific focus for the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years. This website is designed to be a living artifact of the work and progress our students have made towards understanding India, its complexity, its beauty, and its position globally in the 21st Century.
